Yes. Our Irving clinic performs lab work and digital X-rays on site, and walk-ins are welcome during open hours. Because testing and imaging happen in the same building as your visit, you avoid a referral to an outside imaging center and a second trip.
Most tests performed in our Irving clinic return same-day results, and rapid tests for flu, strep and COVID-19 are available within minutes. Digital X-ray images are reviewed during your visit, so in many cases you leave with both an answer and a treatment plan rather than waiting for a callback.
Our in-house lab covers complete blood counts, lipid and metabolic panels, glucose and hemoglobin A1c for diabetes, cholesterol screening, urinalysis, pregnancy tests, drug screenings, confidential STD testing, and rapid testing for flu, strep throat and COVID-19.
We provide chest X-rays for pneumonia, bronchitis and other respiratory conditions; abdominal X-rays for concerns such as kidney stones or bowel obstruction; musculoskeletal X-rays for fractures, sprains and joint injuries; and spinal X-rays for back pain and alignment.
It depends on the test. Fasting is generally required for lipid panels and fasting glucose, usually for eight to twelve hours, while many other tests do not require it. Call (214) 308-1106 before your visit to confirm whether your specific test requires fasting.
Digital X-ray technology uses a low dose of radiation and produces clearer images than older film systems, which reduces the need for repeat imaging. Your provider orders imaging only when the diagnostic benefit outweighs the small exposure. Tell your provider if you are or might be pregnant before any X-ray.
Most major plans cover diagnostic labs and imaging when they are medically necessary, though deductibles and copays differ. We accept Aetna, Ambetter, Blue Cross Blue Shield, Cigna, Humana, Molina, UnitedHealthcare, Medicare, Medicaid and others. For self-pay patients we offer transparent pricing. Call (214) 308-1106 for a quote.
Testing is worth considering if you have persistent or severe pain in the chest, abdomen or joints; difficulty breathing; signs of infection such as fever or sore throat; a possible fracture or sprain; unexplained fatigue or weight change; or a chronic condition that needs regular monitoring.
